Celestion Heritage Choices...

Post by zozoe »

Hi all,, what the skinny on the close comparisons all the different U.K. models; G12H30/55hz, G12H30/75hz, the G12M 20w, & the EVH tribute speaker, allegedly the same as the G12M,,,

My amp are mostly 15-20w boutiquee types, except for my Mesa DC3 & Egnater Rebel30 combos... my 1995 tweed 1x12 Budda TwinMaster has a V30, which I'll probably leave, as it's one LOUD amp, & probably capable of blowing something... I don't like anything overall bright, & I like the speaker compression, & mellow but detailed...

Thoughts from all you trusted ears & opinions?

Many thanks in advance & be well~

This open back Sunn 2x12 cab is now loaded with a G12H30/55hz on bottom and a G12H30/75hz on top. Great combination for Brit sound. Powerful and clear. Lots of solid low end thump and plenty of mid growl, and enough top end sparkle. This combo doesn't break up easily though, so the amp will have to supply the dirt. It plays well with my Vox and Marshall style amps. First pic with my Plexi 6V6. Second pic with my Dual Lite, Vox AC-15 and 18W Lite IIB.

It really depends on the amp. The ri g12m is more aggressive and loud than the heritage. I prefer the former. For h magnets I prefer the 75hz really. The heritage isn,t as bright and cutting as the 30th anniv
