Steel String Singer #002 Chassis/PCB Boards - EU

Post by erwin_ve »

Placeholder for SSS #002 Chassis & PCB availability. Updated july 25, 2023

Chassis Specifications:
Material: 3mm thick 5754 H111 Aluminum - High conductivity and extremely good corrosion-resistant qualities.
Bend Radius: 3mm
Overall Chassis Dimensions: 603,3mm x 204,5mm x 63,5mm
127mm Chassis mount spacing. I found a fabricator to work with for a headshell, https://www.elfring-amps.com/nl/
Welded vertical supports (this thing will NOT flex at all if you twist it :D )
Optimized for PCBs (no drilling required!) and still compatible with the point-to-point eyelets Ryan designed and Hoffman Amps makes
https://el34world.com/Forum/index.php?topic=24843.0

This run of chassis are powdercoated with black silkscreen markings and fonts that looks like #002 without the "Dumble"name.

-Powdercoated finish chassis, with silkscreen artwork - €275
-SSS #002 PCB set designed by me- €150
-Shipping costs are variable in the current world market. For details PM or e-mail : info at e-noize.nl (for spam reasons you can figure out the @ )
-Note to US and other non-EU customers; I can ship worldwide, the chassis have blank voltage and fuse markings!
-Latest run have IEC adapter cutout, the original AC inlet is obsolete and not useable outside the USA.
-Latest run have mounting holes compatible with the mk1000-3 anchor nuts.
-Latest run has a optional pcb for a bipolar bias voltage suppy(for the cathode driver tube), this is not-tested yet! Only on request and at your own risk.

Guys

I had all the rest of my years work cancelled last week so my next gig is now march 2021. By then I will have not worked for a year!

They've opened the theatres from 1st of august but no one's going to promote a show with social distancing rules, it's not financially viable. However by opening them it lets the govn off the hook in regards to paying furlow to all involved :( I've made a professional living as a musician since 1980..this is all really worrying.

anyway, not to derail Erwin's wonderful contribution to the amp world :D

come on people snap up the last 3.

Quick heads up: pcb boards are available.
Chassis are delayed, but should be soon.
I'll post when they are ready.

The power outlet hole isn’t required in Countries like Australia. Do you have a cover for the hole?
Yours Sincerely

Hi Mark,

Exactly my thoughts. In my own build I made a IEC adapter for that big hole and used the cable inlet near the power tubes as a B+ fuse.
If anyone want a Iec adapter I can add it for free.
