I beg your pardon but sometimes the most trivial things are neglected only to realize that they are important. Using an Amplified Nation chassis I need to use three Jack outputs for the three impedances: 4,8,16 Ohm instead of an impedance selector. In order not to burn the output transformer, the Jack outputs must be "closed" or "open". The problem is that only one Jack output will be used while the other two will remain inactive.

I think I understand your question as to what kind of jacks to use, i.e. switched/shunted vs open/non-switched. I reckon you are supposed to use non-switched tip/sleeve jacks. When you use a rotary switch for impedence, it does not ground the unused taps, it leaves them open.
