Going threw my Dumble pic's

Post by boldaslove6789 »

I started a list of Dumble pic's awhile back and figured these might be of some interest. Carlos Santana's Rig consists of these amps now a day's

2 100w Overdrive Reverbs- (yes 2 !) One was a late 70's modified By HAD for him, The other is newly built in 07' and they both contain 1/2 power switches. Both ran threw Slant 4x12 custom Boogie cab's

1 150w Steel String Singer
- Also A new amp built by HAD in 07',Appears to be made just like Stevie Ray Vaughns amp since Carlos
was a dear friend to SRV and he admired his playing and sound he got. ran threw a Straight 4x12 custom Boogie cab

1 100w Mesa boogie Mk1 w/ Reverb-Carlos doesn't use the graphic EQ.It is ran to a 1x12 containing a JBL D120.

Included are pics of his cab's. All Custom "Honey Dripper Yellow" Premiere Flame figured Maple Cabinet's

Kind of strange HAD built them with the silver face plates.

I personally think the black face plates look a lot better.
Love the maple cabs though.

I have seen all of them at one point or another:

The SSS is not a fresh build, that one used to be Eric Johnson's, and was built in like '82 the one That Alexander built in 07 has a gold hammertone chassis.

The ODSR built in 07 used a recycled front and rear pannel (one of the 3 part chassis with the wood sides) with a serial # MUCH earlier than current amps, I think it's in the 190'S

The older ODSR used to belong to a member of this very forum-

Carlos has LOTS of them, here's a pic of him on stage at the experience PRS event, the purple one with the blue light is one I built for Carlos. The tan Dumble used to belong to a friend of mine.

Thanks for shedding some light Brandon. You are one gifted builder if you make/service amps for Santana man. His website said somewhere that the
SSS was built for him in 07'.....

Is the SSS the one that EJ blew the power Trany on in the early 90's ?

I never seen the gold chassis SSS before?
