Dumble?

Post by Structo »

A guy at another forum is posting pictures of a Pro Reverb he got in a trade.

It has an epoxy module in the middle of the board and he thinks he has a Dumble modded amp.

I don't think so but I thought I would post a picture of it and see what the more knowledgeable people say.

He said it is modded to have an overdrive channel selected by footswitch.

Dumble goop jobs don't look that precise.

I took a quick look at a modded Ultraphonix Showman last year and it was very neat and tidy. He follows the Fender dual channels topology (no footswitch option), use a wooden like board with blue goop on the preamp section. No fancy parts or values at first sight, amazing sound with big tight bass.

Will take a closer look maybe some pictures next summer. It got big BF cleans and great rock tones on the second channel.

I agree, it looks too untidy and the goop doesn't look HAD's dog poop epoxy either.

How does it sound?

Maybe we're finally seeing a Tube Screamer grafted into into a Fender blackface...

That's what I am wondering because he said it has a overdrive channel.

I think they took out the vibrato stuff and put that module in it's place.
