70W Dumbleland Build

Post by Aaron »

I've done up a schem for my next build. It's basically a 2x6550 Dumbleland. I'm using transformers from an old 70W Bassman Ten. I want a clean sound cause I will be mostly using it in a reggae band.
I haven't drawn in the bias and power circuit because its pretty much going to be the standard anyway.
Any input would be great if I have done anything wrong.

Looks nice! Makes me want to build again :D

Aren't the filters the other way?
Wouldn't resistor in series followed by cap to ground be low-pass?
Of course it's just a cosmetic thing.

Edit: just wondering, is there no grid bypass cap on V1b in Dumblelands?

Peace,

Markus

That's a cool idea, maybe think about adding a loop? Just thinking of some delay and reverb if needed from a reggae perspective. Lindley got some great skank and chunk from his SSS and cheapo guitars, should sound good.

Aaron, are you sure, that the preamp section of this schematic is correct? I ask, because the pictures of a real specimen of a 70ies Dumbleland posted in this thread http://ampgarage.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... leland+009 seem to show a different number of preamp tubes?

Have fun and a nice weekend!
