Can you take a pic of the bottom of the chassis? i'm sure you could get an answer if you did that, very smart folks around hereredshark wrote:
Those are the high power fenders, or is it the same transformer on both?
This amp also seems to have 2 chokes. I wish i was more knowledgeable to figure this amp out.

Thank you for posting all these pics of this rare example.redshark wrote:Ok, here.....
Looks like it has 60s era Fender Dual Showman transformers. All I see is one regular choke, not sure where you are seeing two? Only other small transformer I see is the Relay power transformer in the chassis.
Re: Check this out......
Thanks!! I didn't know the little tranny inside that I though it was a choke was a relay transformer. Sorry for the confussion.
Re: Check this out......
I've been staring at these pics, and it looks like this amp is using 6CA7's from a music man power transformer?
Aaron
EDIT: Correction, it looks like the second red wire is directly under the other red and blue wires.
But the chassis looks like it has 6CA7 under the output valves.

Re: Check this out......
The chassis says 6CA7, you are correct Aaron, but the amp is running 4 GE 6L6GCs.
Re: Check this out......
Thanks for this redshark. I'm wondering if you have the value of the treble cap, and does the rock/jazz switch have a center detent? A picture of the pots would be cool also.

Re: Check this out......
Redshark, if you have access to this amp it would be useful to all if you could get a series of high-res photos, then perhaps a schematic and layout would follow...
Re: Check this out......
IMO the power transformer visible on these pictures is the L022756 power transformer (Fender Twin, Showman) often used for ODS amps with a "transition generation" chassis.Aaron wrote: ... from a music man power transformer?

Re: Check this out......
The rock/jazz switch is a 3 way. Middle is preamp boost, up is rock, down is jazz. I will post more pics. I just replaced bias cap which I forgot about and adjusted the bias to 34 mA. and I'm done servicing.bcook wrote:Thanks for this redshark. Martin, I can take more pics but I can't draw schematic because I'm not an electronic tech. Sorry.martin manning wrote:Redshark, if you have access to this amp it would be useful to all if you could get a series of high-res photos, then perhaps a schematic and layout would follow...

Forum members will make a Schematic and Layout if you can snap some more detailed pics of the amp.
