Are there any clips of the two types of ODSR? (reverb before OD, and reverb after OD)

Listen to Lowell George (Reverb before) Santana (Reverb after)dr. who wrote:Are there any clips of the two types of ODSR? (reverb before OD, and reverb after OD)

Did you mean Santana for Reverb before OD?

I'll do the footwork on this one I was in a Lowell mood today anyways.

Carlos;

Nice shot of the amp as he tears into his solo. Lowell wasn't big on to much reverb that's why he loved his dumble over using a fender. Not sure that these clip really show the difference, probably more similar than different channel to channel, guitar to guitar as far as the reverb is concerned. probably more difference in the rest of the topology as far as tone.

Lowel George's ODS-R has Pre OD Reverb as it was one of the first built.dr. who wrote:Did you mean Santana for Reverb before OD?

Santana's ODS-R (the new one built by Dumble, Not Dave Workman's old ODS-R) has Post Overdrive, pre PI Reverb. It was built by Dumble in 2007 (as per Santana's website),Supposedly it was modded by HAD to have HRM Overdrive too. It's in the pic above.
The attached pic is Dave Workman's old ODS-R (now owned by Santana) and was most likely also modified to have a Post Overdrive, pre PI 3 tube Reverb

2nd generation Overdrive Reverb: (Lowell George)
3 tubes (driver, return amp, mix amp,). Mix is done before the OD circuit. So you have “overdriven reverb”. By this when the note decays, the reverb gets more prominent. These amps have less gain than the usual 2nd generation ODS.
3rd generation Overdrive Reverb: Not Sure
4th generation Overdrive Reverb: (Santana #0057)
3 tubes (driver, return amp, mix amp). Reverb send is behind volume and ratio, mix before master volume. By this the reverb is a bit like an effect in the loop.
Clip 1&2

SSS:
Some with 3 tubes, some with 2 (2: mix is done by recovery after filters)
DL 300SL:
2 tubes. Mix is done by recovery after filters
DL 150W with reverb and without filters:
Similar to the 4th generation “effect in the loop” structure.
