Finally finished my Too Rock with headshell and logo's

Post by Joost »

Wanted to give an update on my Too Rock. I finally finished it. Got the logo's done yesterday. Mark from AF-Custom Cabs made the headshell to fit my own chassis with weird size.

For those who missed my thread, it's basically a #124 with a few Two Rock tweaks and some of my own. I built in a full dumbleator. I also changed the preamp boost and about 20 other tweaks. It sounds incredible on the clean channel and the preamp boost is very beautiful. Tweaked the overdrive and it's better, but not totally done.

Here are the pictures. Please let me know what you think.

Joost,

That is simply stunning! Well done.

How did you eventually set up your PAB, to get your 'more tweed' thing happening?

Cheers,

Paul.

Thanks. The Glaswerks tweak, using a 500k pot and a 0,1uF cap in series together in parallel with the 22m PAB resistor

classy looking amp!

I noticed the limited edition text and serial number-
suggestion: Add "No user serviceable parts" silk screened above the power IEC socket in the event you sell the amp you are not held liable for any damage or death from poking around in the amp.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it's not intended to be for sale. It's just for my personal use and enjoyment 8)

Plus, I can't get it silkscreened anymore now that it's assembled

thanks. Needed to finish in style I thought. I had the rough form cut from an eps file I made by this water jet company (http://www.nancyklomp.nl) and then I broke the rough cut apart, filed off the metal holding the pieces together and finished it with my dremel. Then I glued it all together and finally glued the whole thing to the headshell

Beautiful amp! Looks stunning.
I hope you can get the OD where you like it.
If not, maybe some help Erwin. He's done some fantastic work on my Dumble inspired amps
