Okay...
Mystery solved. I will have ALL of the original photos in my hand Friday. I'll place them on a cloud server and post the link. Better that way.
Thanks again Steve.

Yes. And yes, thanks Steve -- we should come up with a cross reference system for all these buggers.

Agreed Gil. Shore up the database and make it easier to find. Glad that's not my job!

Re: Ry Cooder's Borderline Special
I use a custom built Nashville Telecaster in my shop for testing, it's set up like a Strat using custom wound Fralin pickups he made for me in 07. My Les Paul at the time was a Rossington #228 and both guitars sounded fine through it but it sounded a little tired which was because of the caps being old. If I could have replaced just the bypass caps it would have made a huge difference. If it had been mine to keep, I would have recapped the damn thing!talbany wrote:Gil
Shared all those pics here in his Photobucket account

The amp is a Low plate Classic 50w straight up..Look Here

Thanks Billy for all you have contributed here.. I wondered how that thing sounded!!
BTW..Billy did that amp sound better to you with a Strat (single coils) or Buckers..Wondering?

Re: Ry Cooder's Borderline Special
thanks so much for sharing - and, again, thanks so much to so many others that share so much. I can't say enough how many times members on this forum have helped me learn, and how much I appreciate it.
Re: Ry Cooder's Borderline Special
Does someone has drawn the schematic of this amp?
Re: Ry Cooder's Borderline Special
grtamp, resigned..., now a lot of information here are made with private messages!

Also some very detailed plans of certain Dumble style speaker cabinets..
You have to dig around and look but it's all here in one form or another..Some in schematics, some layouts, some with enough detailed pics to draw a schematic or layout..Some amps require a bit more study and research..If you do find enough info here to build one of these amps try to document your build and share it with the rest of us so we can learn from it..
Hope This Helps!!
