It would be just like him to throw an inductor in just to mess with cloners.

My SSS chassis #004 style was already drilled for board over the preamp tubes so PTP is the way I am going.

Here is what I have come up with so far, which may change

Rev1 for reverb added.

Not sure about PI and Driver.

Or for those with tubes all in a row and want one large board it gets wild figuring out the best component layout to use. lol:

Darin I just need to build it and then come back with corrected versions I'm sure.

I'm going to build the power amp first using the power amp in jack. Then get the pre-amp done.

Wish me luck.

soundclips from ceriatone SSS

Post by bigwebb83 »

Here are a few soundclips from my SSS. Still learning the amp but really loving it. These are with an alex attenuator. The first clip is with a King of tone as a clean boost, an Analogman Comprossor, and a timeline in the loop. Second clip has timeline in loop as well. I'm switching back and forth between an Aluminum Falcon and a Monsterpiece Stud to illustrate differences (I start with the AF on and then yell in the background everytime I change). The third Clip is just some random noodling with the aluminum falcon and a grosh strat.

pretty close to the kaiser SSS where Doppler is a playing it! Throw a eric johnson fuzz and a tube screamer in front of it, and let us hear that! ;)

Bigwebb do you have a clip with the amp cranked more so I can hear it distort or lead runs?

The preamp is at 2 o'clock and the master is around noon on most of those. I suppose I could dime it with the attenuator tonight and make a clip. With the attenuator fully involved though it does stiffle the clarity a tad.

I love that clip. I'll post one later with a tube screamer in front. Oddly enough the high end TS808HW doesn't have enough grind to get the sound that doug was getting on that clip. Wish I had a REAL 808. My Keeley Reissue will have to do.

I`ve converted a quad reverb, single channel, cath follower reverb mix set, and done that, it is INSANE, really close to EJ`s stuff!! PM me, may have something for you! ;)
