Ceriatone SSS

Post by Aaron »

As far as I can tell, visually this looks pretty close to the Two Rock Custom Clean, which is supposedly a copy of #2 also.
Let me know if there is any errors.

Aaron,

Your last post is your attempted schematic for the Ceriatone SSS, correct? I will be working on this schematic too. Just a quick glance at the pics tell me that what you have drawn for the LNFB on V1 and for the bright cap/switching is incorrect. Are you working with ExpressSCH? If so, please post the sch file and I'll make contributions to it and perhaps we can make it a multi-person effort.

With respect, 10thtx
IMHO, the filters are drawn as in the hand drawn "original" schematics, or at least as I interpret the drawing. Only the 100k between the 10n and the inductor is missing. Might be interesting to replace it with a 250k-1Meg trim pot to fine tune the range of the low filter. I guess the 1Meg trim pot in Nik's SSS might be exactly at this position.

Don't think the bias ps would need a change. I'd just replace the 130k as Gary suggested with a bias pot and a tail resistor.

Interesting project! 8)
I'm very curious to hear the outcome of your build :)

Regards,

Markus

I was just adding to a Dumbleland schematic I was going to try and build. So I hadn't drawn in the extra switching.
Feel free to add to it.

I use Jschem and it wont let me attach it. What program do you use?

I just got the suede cab for my C-SSS from Taylor(amplifiednation). Impeccable work, thanks Taylor! I plan to experiment with various modifications to this amp but I'm in the throes of moving from Tampa, FL to Honolulu, HI so it will have to wait until later this year.

Hope you like Spam. Just kidding, I consider that quite an upgrade. My wife lived in Maui for a while. She says "Long enough to hate bananas."

Spam! I had to Google that detail. You are right, it is a staple. Spam served at McDonalds and BK. Spam sushi too! I'll have to try it.

Man that looks good Brian.

I wish my job took me to exotic places!

Good luck on the move and enjoy the weather.

I believe the humidity will be lower than what you are used to.

Another great cabinet, looks very cool.

What are the dimensions on the Ceritone chassis??

A lot of speculation has me thinking the the SSS is in a 26" chassis.

OK, I didn't realize that's what you were doing. I am using ExpressSCH mainly because it is compatible with most guys are using around here. I'll be working on it as time allows and will post something as I get closer.
