Pic of SRV's Loaner SSS

I remember seeing this photo a few months ago and for whatever reason, happend to save it and came across it tonight while cleaning out some folders. SRV and JLV Live at the New Orleans Jazz Festival in 1990. Bunch of YouTube vids of that show.

While admiring Stevie's use of what amounts to 18 EV speakers and around 500 watts of available amp power, I noticed that the SSS in the picture isn't either of the two SSS's normally associated with Stevie.

I've read/heard a few things about some loaner/replacement SSS's that he used whenever one of his SSS's was back in California for repair so maybe it's one of those.

Anyone else seen this amp before or know anything about it? I thought it could be the Kirk Hammett SSS but the logo and font are different (although Kirk's SSS almost looks like the logo has been changed or is non-original).

My motivation for posting is anchored solely in plain 'ol curiosity so I hope I'm not stepping on any toes or anything with the Milli Vanilli-esque level of originality I've shown by creating yet another SRV/Dumble thread.

The SSS in first Kirk hammet Pic is not the same SSS in the pic below them.

The story goes Kirk had bought the amp after Stevie had died, the amp was supposed to go to him but he never received it because either SRV and HAd had a falling out or he died before he could receive the amp, or some other unforeseeable circumstance.

The SSS with the "Big Logo" is the amp SRV used for the last ACL gig.

It is reported that SRV owned at least 4-6 SSS by the time he passed away......

As an aside, did Kirk's ever come back? It was stolen a few years ago along with a load of other Metallica gear and that's the last I remember hearing of it.

This was the SSS stolen from Kirk attached. This was the amp that was on Ebay without a pic a few months ago. i tried contacting someone from Metallica to catch these guys in the act with the stolen amp and couldn't get a hold of anyone significant.
