interesting....

I was reading that Jerry Garcia (Grateful Dead) had his amp set up with a Fender Twin Silverface (with middle control) pre amp going through a McIntosh MC2300 power amp. Sounds a bit like Dumble design, so my question is who did it first?

It looks like he first started using the McIntosh power amps in 1972: http://www.wald-electronics.com/gear_di ... story.html

If I can dig it up l will post a 1956 dated schematic of a Heathkit hi-fi amp that I ran across a few years ago. It has the exact same topology and almost 100% the exact component values of the Dumble Odyssey power section, so much so that I find it truly hard to believe that it's purely a coincidence. If didn't know any better, it seems that HAD ripped the Odyssey power section directly from Heathkit amplifier kit.

You got me curious so I went looking, would it have been the W6M?

Seems to be similar with the 12BH7 into some 6550's or was it something else?

No, I don't recall it being this one.

Perhaps someone can make out all the values visible here?: https://ampgarage.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=31595
