Help with D'Lator Transformer
I would like to build a stereo D'Lator but I am having a really tough time locating a suitable transformer to fit into a 1U enclosure. Can anyone help?
Re: Help with D'Lator Transformer
I think this will do the trick
Allen Amps
TP2X tube effects power transformer
http://www.allenamps.com/parts.php#transformers
OOPs I just re-read your post - Stereo - maybe you will need two.
Regards
Randy

Re: Help with D'Lator Transformer
I'm just starting a mono d-lator. I'm using a hammond 261C6. It will mount on the inside of the 1U rack chassis on the side (too tall to mount on the bottom of the chassis). As with the Allen, you need to use a full wave rectifier instead of the doubler.

Re: Help with D'Lator Transformer
The Allen TP2X won't have any problem running two 12AX7's.

How about a torroid?
Maybe something here:

Come to think of it, I think Hoffman used to sell a cheap ass torroid as well, maybe look there too.

Somebody here said that Allen will sell the transformers without the minimum purchase.jon wrote:Allen amps has a $50.00 min order. they're out
