Sent seller a brief note asking for gut shots just now. I don't claim to know much, but don't all SSS originals have an inductor and two multi position rotary knob tone switches? I know that there is a switch position to bypass the inductor section, but to me, without the inductor section in place it can't be an SSS circuit.
Comments? Please educate me if I'm wrong here...
He has listed some Blues Pearl amps in the past. Has put up some youtube clips demoing different amps, pretty rockin' player IMHO...

Does it claim to be? It says it is a Six String Singer.212Mavguy wrote: it can't be an SSS circuit.

Thanks for your replies, the link shared, and for what I learned because of your efforts to "edjuhmuhcate" me.
I won't be getting rid of my SSS #Nik anytime soon. I really, really enjoy the variety of tones out of that amp through my ah, unusual cabs. Tweaking cabs with different speakers is as fun as vintage tube rolling!
I just wish that a 100 watter was as easy to play through as my 50 watters. Although I can get it to sound great at bar gig volumes by itself, in my experience the combination of a Weber 100 watt MASS and a c-lator really tame as well as compress that beast and obtain tones that delight me even more at those volumes than the naked amp, which still sounds shockingly good to my "tube collector's" ears...
I think I have figgered out a way to degoop the hotmelt glue covered parts in Nik's rather easily... take a screw in soldering iron tip for a Weller cheapo 25 watt unit, heat it hot with a torch and flatten/widen the snot out of it with a smoothface hammer on some sort of anvil like surface, bend and file into a miniaturized poop scoop configuration, shape to suit, screw it in, and plug/unplug to keep heat within range, hot slice and scoop the snot right off 'em, wiping off each time onto a terry cloth rag...

Re: interesting eBay listing...
Why are so many expensive amplifiers so poorly built?
This is almost absurd...

Re: interesting eBay listing...
Does not look like a Dumble SSS at all. And is certainly a lot less work to build!
I will say this: I like how it sounded at the NY Ampshow for that fender tone, especially with that player they brought with them. But that player only sounded like Texas Flood until he plugged my 64 strat into my personal SSS/ 4x12 that I brought to the show.
But again, I do like how that Hamiltone sounded at the ampshow. Different, but nice.
