Normster's 6V6 ODS layout

Post by Aharon »

Is that layout still untested?
I'd like to build an ODS with verb..............
IS there a companion schem?.
Thanks a million

Actually, I finished that build awhile ago. Finished pics and clips are here:
http://www.adlibmusic.net/normster_amps ... /index.htm

I ended up building it with #124 preamp values but may change it back to hybrid-a. The last layout posted is this one:
http://www.bad-domain/6V6_ODS/6V6_ODS_124.JPG

I pretty sure I updated all changed values, but there are so many tweaks along the way it's possible I missed one or two.

As for schematics, I usually just refer to the hybrid-a and draw in other circuits as needed when I do the layout.

Any chance the links can be corrected to where we can see those files?

His site is offline, so no, we can't connect to a site that no longer exists. Sadly. I guess we could look at the internet archive if his site was archived... I'll try that.

No luck, looks like his site was archived but with no direct links to the images, so they weren't archived.

I believe this is Normster's original 6V6 ODS layout. I hope he doesn't mind me posting.

Cheers,

Paul.

That's a basic Brownnote D'lite, Norm's was different. IIRC, Norm's ODS version was a quad 6v6 version with reverb.

thanks guys . this will help. if normster sees this post and has the editable visio drawing, that would be great. he can pm me. I am otherwise creating an editable version with 'connected' connections.

I don't know that it's likely. He's not been active here for a while, and I know someone here that told me they see him active on a few FB groups and he's not responded to requests about the site and files. We can always hope though.

This is voiced different it also has a built reverb it must be a deluxe model for sure! The first cap to the right Mid cap is a. 01 rather than a. 05 mfd like in the 124 I wonder which Dumble he used for this one? I wonder how well the reverb sounds wired this way without the dumblelator impendence matched buffer cicuit? This would be cool in a 50 watter or 100 not a big fan of the HRM so this might different.. I built a ceriatone HRM and a standard overtone and looking for something more blooming overdrive.
