Old Style Din Rececptacle???

Post by marshamps »

I'm sure this is not a new question here so my apologies, but my search failed. Does anybody know if the old style DIN receptacles are available somewhere. for the blackface repro chassis and the silver ODSRs? Thanks gents and happy New Years!!

Do you mean the 5 pin XLR, as on #124 and other earlier amps?
I believe the proper part number is Switchcraft C5F, which can be had from mouser. Pricey though:

I generally use a neutrik, less costly 5 pin xlr. I have to slightly modify the CE chassis to make it fit, but I like that connector much better than the DIN connector that is spec'ed for that chassis.

Good luck,
Steve
