nasal tone

Post by greg54 »

As I've stated previously, I'm new to this (electronics). Sorry if my questions are a little stupid. One learns by asking.

Anyway, my amp (late 80's, non-HRM, Skyliner) is sounding a little nasal. Just wondering what could cause this. It didn't use to sound this way.

Is this just on the OD channel? Try replacing the OD tube.

The first thing I'd do (after subbing a tube) is disconnect the LNFB on V1b. They don't all need those. The 183 doesn't even have one. Here is an older thread on how I get around it:

Good luck, sh
