Is this layout showing a brass plate for grounding?

I'm not going that route so my grounding will be different.
Good call Mark, I added the brass plate to the layout. Yes, this version takes its cues from the original amp pics. When I build mine, I'm not doing brass plate or soldering any other grounds - I'll go for the more traditional ODS-like ground scheme and bolted grounds.

the use of the Ruby caps was interesting.

Gary, the amp was built about three years ago. My understanding was that Dumble used Magic Parts for various items including transformers. The preamp tubes are Ruby also. I think also there are not that many options for fitting 33uf caps on a Tweed Deluxe board.

I was able to squeeze Nichicons in. got 'em from Mouser, there about 3/4" diameter.

Aren't most Ruby's (and TAD's) just re-branded F&T's..

I have always gone by that assumption. Good question.

It's been a while but I've had both Ruby and F&T 22uf caps in the past and they weren't the exact same size. Just sayin

FWIW..For the money and size the TAD's are tough to beat!..Also have a great feel to them.. :D
I definately prefer them over IC...Not that the IC's are a bad cap
never tried the Ruby's

OOPS! did I derail again.

I thought they were too at one time. However, I recently picked up Ruby's and they are not the same size nor style as the older ones, all the lytics caps have double crips now.

Not sure, used Ruby's for a few years in my SOD (I) amps. Worked well and only remember of 1 that gave weirdness.

This topic has been a tad quiet. Is everything OK? Have you guys built one and are really busy playing it? I want to order some parts but was hoping to hear some clips and evaluations first. I believe this would be a good second build for my newbie self.

In the absence of clips, how about some words describing the tone?
Cheers
