Two Rock Opal and HRM bypass and TS-1
I had a few questions about the Opal and other two rocks. Is there a schematic for the Opal? Is this the only model that is both HRM and bypasses for non-HRM? How difficult would it be to mod the Opal schematic for 100 watts?
In a related note, is there circuit info for the TS-1? Anyone been inside of one? I know it's supposed to be related to Robben Ford's dumbles but don't know if it's meant to be a direct clone of #102, or something else.
Thanks!

There isn't a schematic that I know of. It would be easy to do a 100W Opal (just new iron, a few more tube sockets and a negative feedback adjustment). I think it was the only Two Rock with this feature.

Cool. I've been listening to clips of the TS-1 and they kind of haunt me. Especially the one demonstrating the volume knob cleanup ability. Just with they weren't unobtanium.

I have an Opal and have been looking for a Schematic so I can plot out some mods. The HRM by pass is a good feature. Somehow the amp sounds good in both mods with just a little more grind and compression in HRM mode.
Gutshots anyone?

HRM is said to stand for Hot Rubber Monkey, or Hot Rod Marshall. Its the TMB tone stack at the output of the OD section.

If you own one, can't you open it up and grab some gutshots? Or is it gooped and you're looking for non gooped pictures?Tybone wrote:I have an Opal and have been looking for a Schematic so I can plot out some mods. The HRM by pass is a good feature. You have an Opal and you are looking for the schematic and gutshots? If I wanted those, you would be the guy to ask.Tybone wrote:I have an Opal and have been looking for a Schematic so I can plot out some mods. The HRM by pass is a good feature. So, I'm asking. Please give us gut shots and/or trace out the schematic.
