Amp Builders Europe.

Post by JonasLyngdam »

Hi everybody. Im looking for help to get my new dream amp. I want a 50w head, with a combination of the JM Signature from two rock, and the fender deluxe reverb. I want it very simpel, with theese knobs

Nice white cabinet, looking like two rock. Finish means a lot to me as well.

So if there is an amp builder, who think they can do the job, please contact me on PM

budget 1100 euro

but every sugestion is really welcome

PS. its very important its from europe, cause i dont wanna get caught in the taxes

Hi,

Two guys spring to mind. Jelle Welagan, a member here, just Google welagan amps. Also Tommy Cougar of Mystic amps, but not sure if he's building amps at the moment.

Good luck,
Rob

PS, just seen your budget, that won,t cut it I'm afraid.

Rob, Jelle is based in the USA.

To the OP, I would say to get what you want, a custom hybrid 50w in a custom white cab for 1100€ would be nearly impossible from a quality builder.
Remember Marshall charge 550€ for a 1w amp :D
A Fender Tweed 5E3 head is 1300€

Have a look at Ceriatone and see if something there would suit you, but I think you may need to add at least 500€ to your budget if you want something built for you.

1100 will get you good quality parts. Unassembled.

Jonas , how said Jelle W. , 1100 is for the good quality materials!

I think with standard parts , 900€ about.

Good luck

Thanks everybody. My budget is simply based on that im a 16 year old student, and i dont have a lot of money. I got an offer for around that price from another builder, so thought that it was possible.

i thought a lot about it the last couple of days, and came to the conclusion that i would just love a fender deluxe reverb head 50 watt and with the knobs described above. that should make the job easier, and therefore cheaper right?

merry christmas

Well, a Deluxe Reverb is about 22W, and a relatively complex circuit since it has both tremolo and reverb. I'd guess you are looking at about the same kind of money for that. There are some really nice repro chassis and faceplates available from Tube Amp Doctor in Germany, so you have that going for you.

Oh but im not gonna use the tremolo. just one input. just the tone needs to be the same.

Just get a Trainwreck Rocket amp with reverb added, using 6L6 output tubes and 50w rated power transformers.

The Octal Reverb Rocket is a sweet sounding amp and capable of the tones your looking for.
