AFAIR he used his Fender Nocaster for this track and his 3rd generation ODS 50WX Combo (hardwood cabinet similar to the late 70ies early eighties Boogie hardwood cabinets). AFAIR the speaker in this cabinet at the time of this recording was an Altec 417-8H SERIES II. The original metal dust cap had been replaced by a paper dust cap. You can get some glimpses of this combo on this video (No Nocaster :D). "Village Feeling" starting around 18:00. Have fun!

Cheers,

Max

A Nocaster with an f-hole must be exceedingly rare... :)

Nice :) good use of volume and tone control on the gtr. personally I think this is the best way to work an ODS amp on the bridge pickup, just use the tone control to take the edge off if you want to. Even on clean the tone control is a must on a telecaster IMHO. It's the same principal as the volume control..set the amp so its at it's loudest, brigtest most OD you're ever going to need and then back off the volume and tone for everyday usage.

Thanks Max for getting back so quickly that lay out you sent me the link above to is for this amp you posted a sound clip with a 52 tele just to be clear "Funky" OD entrance vs. "trigger" (trim pot) OD entrance" - a comparision:

1st example ("funky"):
50’s Telecaster into the "funky OD entrance" of a 3rd generation ODS 50W combo (Altec with a paper dust cap): http://ampgarage.com/forum/files/villag ... _3_144.mp3

It's the 2nd gen layout that Max posted the link to. I put the FET on a switch but other than that it's as the schematic/Layout.

here's a sound clip, I think it's public so you should be able to hear/see it.

it's taken from an actual Dumble of that generation so it will be either the same or pretty close IMHO. HAD did tweak for each player he built for so unless you're in the exact amp you can't be 100% sure.
