100w Bluesmaster- I've made a start
Hi Guys,
Well after my successful (with the help of all here) 50w #102 build, I've bitten the bullet and started a full on 100w Bluesmaster.
Got my custom made transformers today from Italian company InMAdOut , got them to make and extra 5v tap for the relays so I didn't need an extra little transformer.
It's going to take a while as I'm in the middle of an album project in the studio and about to go on the road but I'll keep this thread going with progress as and when.
drilled my chassis today for everything and installed all the first set of hardware.
Marcus

Those PT leads are great colors!
Re: 100w Bluesmaster- I've made a start
Looks like you don't use the rock/jazz switch either. I have never been able to make it sound right no matter what combination of guitar and speaker. I'm going to do a 183 and I think I'll follow your lead.

yeh, I don't know anyone who uses it either. If you check out my #102 build you'll se the layout for removing the switch. As a novice it wasn't as easy as I'd first thought. Martin Manning came to the rescue though.jcsifu wrote:Looks like you don't use the rock/jazz switch either. Thanks. THe head cab and chassis came from a friend who's been building his own amps for a while. They were prototypes that were sat gathering dust in his garage so he gave them to me as they were going to be recycled at the dump.gz34 wrote:nice project. what's that head cab you're using?
I got the Vox grill cloth from Timo on this forum and I had a graphics designer friend of mine design me a PDF file for the front panel , then took it to a local printing company who printed out a sheet of them on vinyl for me. Had to re drill the chassis to put my own transformers, stand offs etc so it's not the prettiest thing but once inside the cabinet it looks great.

Good work mate! I like the front panel idea. Look forward to seeing more as you go along.

I'll search out your 102 again, I've read that thread a few times in my past info hunting trips.

Thanks Charlie,
Interesting thing to not is the colour of the heater wires, blue and yellow.... exactly the same as I used on my 102. I thought I'd been unusual...
I'm going with the old fashioned power supply board, hope it won't change things too much.
