Nice! I think this will be my next project ... a combo version. I got the black tolex, black grill and white trim just waiting to be assembled. Nice winter project. Just got to find a way to heat the garage since wifey doesn't want any more mess in the basement lol!

It could refer to the "Blues Master" PI thing. I only of two types of amps built into those chassis with the golden Dumble scripts, Skyliner HRMs and Blues Masters. However, some of those amps were later modified by Dumble himself, so it'd be difficult to know exactly what's going on inside that amp.

I see the serial number is blocked.

Does anybody know the Serial #?

Look at the foot pedal jack, pretty buggered up for a $90K amp.

Does anyone know what the "Ultraphonix voice preamp" might refer to? I've seen it for modified Fenders and Marshalls, but this is the first time I've seen it used to describe an Overdrive Special preamp.

"Ultraphonix voice preamp, and it has the Tone Blossom power section."

Thanks, LDC

So many terms thrown around. :) I think this means the preamp is what's commonly referred to around here and on TGP as Blues Master. So, Fender black face wiring with some kind of Marshall values. The refernce is here:

"dumble and I have been close for a few years now, i took the amp to him, he basically gutted it and rebuilt most of it from the ground up.... ultraphonix technology.... i cant get into exact details about the internal parts of the amp as that is info i promised not to talk about..."

Obviously then owner Scott Whyte was right about that amp. I had thought his would have been one of the Skyliner HRM EL34s, but it was not. I got to play that amp one time as I went to sit in with the guy's band. The amp sounded good, not particularly great, and it certainly didn't sound like what my attempts at a Skyliner HRM had been at that point (2003). It did sound a lot like what we later came to know as a Blues Master, however, with a much spongier clean sound, mega boost, etc. The irony of it all is that Scott offered to sell me the amp for $19K at that time. I should have bought it. :)
