Depending on the exact component values, especially the cathode bias of V2A and plate load/snubber of V1B, the MegaPlexi channel is basically a 2203 without the cold clipper... interesting.

I really don't want to hijack the Overdrive Deluxe thread to talk about Flying High's ultraphonix, but it looks to be the same circuit as the UP pictured below that sold on ebay a few years back. The bass channel seems to be very Marshall'ish.

Can anyone define a difference between "Megaplexi" "La Tostada" "Ultraphonix" etc? Because based on the research I see here, they seem like a-la carte preamps. Like, bassman has 2 channels. You can have the Megaplexi or La Tostada on the Bass channel, Ultraphonix on the clean channel. PI seems to universally be the Tweed/Marshall. Beyond that, there has been confirmed additional tweaks like switchable boosts and a relay trafo.
