hello,

First of all, thank you all for the help on the reverb driver/pan question. I need help again, another doubt. What kind of resistors are those in the coupling capacitors, the 220k, 10k, 22k and 2k2, are they 5 watts Metal oxide? And the dale ones? 0,5 watt RN65D? The same doubt with the resistors on the cathodes and filaments.

I think you mean decoupling capacitors, but they are more commonly called power supply filters. Metal oxide is fine for the resistors in the power supply. The two 220k balance resistors on the 220u caps should be 1W, all the others could be 2W. Note there is a missing wire in the layout (first post in this thread). The 220u caps need a connection from upper left to lower right, joining the ends that have only a resistor connected to them. Also note the second choke lead is not marked, it’s the dashed line on the left side of the first 2k2.

no parts list.

Are you talking about the Diodes?

I have 8 chassis and board sets available specifically for this build...check the for sale section or PM me, they aren’t on my website

I built more wonderland,Jm sign ,SSS etc... type amp. I would like to build now a TR Classic Reverb Sig ,but I dont know the operational of gain structure switch
I think is a 3 way cathode resistor/bypass cap switch...or something else:) I watched the CLRS gutshot but I couldn't figure out.
Does anyone the schem of gain structure switch?
(sorry my bad english)

Thx
Laszlo
I tried one of these recently. seems like a modified or evolved JM circuit. the gain structure switch was almost subtle. Its a very clean sounding amp with a little breakup. Still, I'd like to know how the gain structure switch affects the 1m/68k divider
I checked inside a TR CLRS V3 ,the gain structure switch is 1M/(47k/113k/80k )divider. resistors is 47k,33k,33k.

Great - thanks (I'm using a pot for more flexibility)

I am looking at the layout for this amp and I have a question about the ground points.
I put the jumper in between the - side of the first 220uf and the + side of the second one.
Those 2 and the first 20uf ground to the transformer grounds at the tab by V9.
The second 20uf says to ground at Send/Rec.
Does this mean to ground at the ground bus near the send/return pots or at the effects loop jacks?

The third and fourth 20uf''s just show an arrow.
Where is the ground point for these?

At the send return jacks.
At the grounding point near the input.

I cant find a 213k 1 or 1/watt resistor. V1 pin 7.
Mouser has rn60c and rn70c 1/8 watt but they are out of stock. 7 weeks till restock.
Can I just use a 1w 220k or an RN65c 221?
Is the 1k5 resistor on the bass pot an rn65c or a carbon film?

I can not find 6PS caps in .047,.0047,.001.
I will be using .05 for .047
.005 for .0047
.0012 for .001
.02 for .022.
Will this make much of a difference? Or should I try to find the called for values?
I get my 6ps caps from Cedist.com. Is there a better source?

I think 6PS caps can be between 1 and 10% tolerance so I doubt it will matter that much. I use those same values as you and have excellent results.

We know what the Gain Structure switch does, but does anyone know what the EQ1/EQ2 switch is/does on the Two Rock CRS?

I believe it is a Tone stack Boost. Sending less of the Tone stack to ground and so boosting your volume slightly and increasing the Mids and bass.
I say this because many people that use it say it is less effective if your tone knobs are all maxed out but more effective if they are dialed back.
I am sure others with more knowledgeable will chime in.
Cheers
