#183 Preamp only in a 1u rack case? Ideas?

Probably a combination of the high mains voltage and the fact that small transformers generally have poor regulation.

Interesting!
I got 315v on what we would call B+5. Do you think you could run a D-lator with a pair of these Hammond flatpacks?
They are pretty cheap, even in the UK. Might encourage more people to build one?

That would be a little lower than the D'lator spec (360V on the higher voltage supply node), but I'm sure it would work fine. 229E230 and 229E12.
