Just finished this tube buffer (with thanks to Ampgarage for schematics and layouts), which I adapted for a small chassis and modified layout of circuit board, controls, and jacks. I had some reclaimed cocobolo with flaws that wouldn't lend itself to making anything fancy out of it, so I thought I'd make an unusual cabinet. It's totally impractical for gigging, but just fine for sitting in my amp room. I used screws, glue and teak plugs to join the top and sides, and made an MDF base, ala hi-fi cabinetry (think turntable plinths). Coated the chassis with some interesting green hammer paint, and voila. Just need to put on some rubber feet with screws to attach the base to the sides, and apply labels to controls and jacks.
I haven't used one of these before, so I suppose there will be a bit of discovery with settings, etc.
Cheers,
Greg

Nice. I can see this at a gig where you bring your fancy area rug, reading lamp, and side table to set your martini while you noodle.

Where did you get that chassis? It looks a lot like one I bought years ago, intended to get more of, and forgot where I ordered from...
Nice looking build btw!

Hi TMod - thank you to Xtian for answering - he beat me to it.
Watts had a sale a couple of months ago, so I bought a couple chassis at that time, since their shipping costs are a bit higher than most.
I'll start a thread on the 18watt Plexi I built with the other chassis.
Cheers,
Greg
