That second round of chassis I did will fit the classictone 18-40001 50w or the 18-40102 100w without having to drill one hole!

For a 50W built I am thinking going Ultraphonix style with Bassman OT and Badmaster PT. Should I expect any difference versus having both Bassman OT and PT like most ODS?

Bandmasters are what Dumble would take out...... Bassman is much better.

True Bandmaster iron isn't preferred by HAD. Bassman transformers have been preferred by HAD, my blonde Bandmaster has a twin power transformer and a Bassman output transformer. The transformer changes were done prior me purchasing the amp.

Yeah I get requests for replace those Bandmaster weak 35w OT with Bassman 4/8/16 often. I may even have kept the old OT not sure.

Thanks Mark! Yes the OT for a 50W on a 2x6L6 I’d go Bassman for sure.
Since I’ve never done a A/B of a Bandmaster PT versus a Bassman PT I was wondering if there would be much difference between them but I guess the consensus so far was to go for a Bassman PT as well.
