Thanks for posting your build.

I'm just about to build my second Tweedle Dee, and I'm considering adding Rob Robinette's Lead Cannel mod on V1a and his 3-way negative feedback mod on V2a, as you had done.

After having thad them in for a while, do you stil use the modded options? Any downsides?

I've been using this amp exclusively on an album I'm producing at the moment and I think the mods I did from Rob's site are still things I'd do with this amp. They're simple but sonically very effective. There are no downsides I can see. You can voice the 'lead' channel any way you see fit. I think I went with the high plate dumble bluesmaster values, so it's not actually a 'lead' channel as it's got less or the same gain than the other but it's a different sound.

All the guitars are done with this amp, mainly a telecaster straight in no pedals except I added a clip of my Coodercaster with flatwounds for a nice swampy/crunch which has a Strymon flint for the verb/trem

There was an add campaign here many years ago, where the catch phrase was "It's not your father's Oldsmobile," meaning its now new and different (and much more stylish, hip, or whatever). In this case, it doesn't sound at all like the dirty overdriven sound that most people associate with a Deluxe.

I'll add that if you plug a Les Paul in and turn it up it does scream like a banshee too

Little update on this amp.

The GZ34 gave up in a lovely light show, so while it was apart I added a HPF in the form of a switchable coupling cap on the mic channel. So standard 0.02uF and switchable 0.004 uF which get's rid of some bass end. As it's a separate head cab the mic channel voicing is very big so this can remove some low end if needed.

i also put a set of USA Sylvania 6L6's in there.
