my dlite is fizzy

Post by ampedup »

anyone else have this problem. it seems like the input gain is the main contributer to the fizz, if i turn it down past half its better but then there's not enough distortion for my like. could i have some oscillation at high frequency that is causing this?
my dlite is not a kit, it uses west lab 15watt trannys the voltage is a bit lower, i adjusted the dropping resistors to keep the preamp voltages pretty close to spec.

If you followed the schematic and didn't screw up any values (been there, don't trust the label on the package), it's shouldn't be fizzy.

I'd check for oscillation.
