Re: I'm finally HRMing!!!
Thanks guys!
Larry - I have an embarrassment of riches. This is a different amp. I purchased 2 of those chassis and this is another build. I now own three different flavors - all good.

Thanks for your quick reply!stelligan wrote:This is a different amp. I purchased 2 of those chassis and this is another build.
Is this also a D'Lite chassis, where the Bassman PT fits in?
Here I guess, it's the G12-65 - because it has this nice sizzle on top of the notes. Right?novosibir wrote:Which of the both speakers have you miked?
The EV12L does have much 'rounder' highs, kinda the've been cut off with 24dB/octave

How would You compare the nonHRM and HRM ?
Does the new amp have the BM presence and PI section ?
Thanks for the inspiring clip

Re: I'm finally HRMing!!!
Thanks Larry and mat.
Larry - The mic was on the EV12L, but back about 6". Probably hearing some of the G1265. The Bassman transformer was the same dimension front to back, but wider side to side. I was able to cut about 1/2" toward the back right edge to accommodate it.
mat - smoother OD in the HRM it seems to me. With the 2 x 12 cab it sounds BIG. Clean tone is plenty cool too. The clean seems to "toot" or "chirp" a little more than my non. Also seems to pump or compress/sustain more in the clean side.
I wish I could offer more detail regarding the actual components, but I just kinda followed a layout (even managed to jack that up a little). So heishl came to my rescue and found the errors and did some tweaking while in there. Dunno what is considered th Blues Master values. I may have started with those from pieced together phone calls and emails. He added a 3 position bright switch and a mid boost. Put a fuse on the OT, cranked up the OD trimmer to near 3pm..... Perhaps he can chime in here.

Re: I'm finally HRMing!!!
This is what happens when you throw a mic in front of an EVM without seeing exactly where the cone is. I guessed.... Also, it was close miced. HRM voice here.

Re: I'm finally HRMing!!!
EVL? I used an EVM12L. Not sure about what you mention... This was the Classic reissue 200W version. Thanks for listening. I'll record some G1265 clips tonight. I'll pay attention to where the mic is positioned this time... LOL

Hey dogears!
Whatcha doing cuttin' my head on my thread?
Sounds great - as to be expected. More, More.....
All kidding aside, very smooth OD tone. I have spent more time with the amp this morning and am getting closer to that with it(tone wise - that is). Glad to notice that the timbres are more similar than different.

+1
There is not EVL out anywhere!mat wrote:Is the EV12L same speaker as EVL ?
Mostly used is the EV12L, due to its unique and unbity character.
Many years ago you still couldt have the EV12H, which has had a tad shorter chassis - but nearly nobody liked it soundwise, so that itsc production has been dropped again any some years later.

Re: I'm finally HRMing!!!
Regarding the Prosonic OT: Angela's website has the following description
Would one of these be good for a standard D'Lite? I assume the secondaries would be as indicated above if you were running 6L6's, and that they would be 8-16-32 for 6V6's? Any other issues, other than that I guess you would have to drill four holes in the D'Lite chassis for the mounting screws? For repairs or build an ass kicking 50W combo (or head) with a pair of 6L6s. Upright end bell construction. Standard push-pull primary with three wires; red center tap, brown and blue plate leads. Somewhat unusual (for a Fender...) secondaries make this transformer useful for those of you with Marshall 4X12"s; black common wire, green/yellow 4 ohm tap, green wire for the 8 ohm tap, yellow wire for 16 ohms. Measures approx. 3.75"X3"X3.375" tall. Mounts to chassis with four screws, mounting centers 3.5"X2". GENUINE FENDER PART #049009. SALE! $59!!!
Re: I'm finally HRMing!!!
Antique has a similiar transformer listed as a Fender replacement but it has a white 2 ohm tap instead of the yellow 16 ohm. 4200 inpedance.

Re: I'm finally HRMing!!!
yes, apparently sometimes a letter gets dropped. Also, I think the shorter version is called the EVM12S.mat wrote:I meant EVM. So is the EVM12L same as EV12L ?
Re: I'm finally HRMing!!!
Oh - yes, EVM12S and not EVM12H - I just got it wrong back in my mind.Pete wrote:Also, I think the shorter version is called the EVM12S.
