little Blue Amp

Post by alkuz1961 »

Hello everybody!
I have been a member of this forum for a very long time. But mostly I just read interesting topics and carefully study the advice of more experienced builders. Many thanks to all those who share their experience and support with good advice.
During this time, I built several amplifiers. But none of them were any different from the many others, shown here on the forum. So I didn't see any point in showing my projects here.
But the amplifier that I built recently, I think, deserves a little presentation.
It all started when a friend of mine, a good guitar player, asked me to build him a small combo to play at home and in clubs.
The scheme of AN Wonderland was taken as a basis. But since I was planning a small amp, power tubes I chose JJ6V6S.
I always start this kind of work by creating a detailed 3D-model. This allows you to reduce possible errors in the line-up. Here are some images with object visualization

In parallel with the development of the cab for amplifier I was designing a PCB for it. At about this same time, Rootz have started to create project ODS with the reverb. I liked his ideas and when developing my printed circuit boards, I put in them the possibility of building the same amplifier.

After some time, a steel chassis and a set of boards were produced.

So, I started building this amplifier.
Next, I'll just upload images of the build stages. I hope everything will be clear without comments

Somewhere here in this forum, in the section of cabinets, there is a link to how to make leather corners yourself. I just cut them out of a piece of leather, soaked them in water, squeezed into shape, dried, and colored.

That looks and sounds amazing, well done!

Thanks for documenting the process, that will help many more builders in the future.
