First Amp and Cab

Post by dan46n2 »

Finally got done with my first amp and cab that I built. I started off with a Ceriatone kit for the chassis and components. I now have parts for 4-5 more builds completely from scratch using the BOMs on here. The cab was more difficult than I expected, especially getting those corners on just right (which they aren't), even tried a jig. I used Wilson Art H20, I don't think I let it dry long enough but it worked out ok. I learned if the Tolex doesn't stick in some parts, use a heat gun and it will make it stick, I think it reactivates the glue. Overall it was a lot of fun and this is the best sounding amp I have. Getting ready to start my next build with Ryan's boards and chassis!

Great, well done man!

First cabinets but not first woodwork, does it seem...

Now you're hooked anyway... :D

The snakeskin Tolex looks very cool. Nice choice and nicely done.
