SSS #002 Filters | Real Bode Plots!

Post by rccolgan »

I got a new toy and trying some Bode plots measuring at the preamp-out. The speaker-out is connected to a Boss Waza Tube Amp Expander (reactive load)

Equipment: All my plotted CSV files recorded by my scope at every filter step here for your dissection: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing

I'm not really sure what to think yet. I am going to start comparing with the LTSpice simulations I did. At first glance, I think they are close however the highs seem a little more attenuated in the simulation and EQ shifted slightly.

I hope this is a helpful insight into the amp. I'm sure data scientists here could take the information and apply speaker impulse response plots to further understand the resulting sound through the amp using different speakers. That's a little out of my wheelhouse at the moment but cool potential.

The gain/treb/mid/bass/etc. are the settings from the real SSS #002 when John Mayer played it. Remember that my high/low filter is wired reverse compared to the real SSS.
