I talked to a vintage guitar dealer who is good friends with Vince Gill. He said that some time recently (in the last year?), Vince Gill and Joe Walsh went to Dumble's home and played a bunch of amps. Some time later ( I don't know much later - hours, days, months?) Vince Gill gets a call from Dumble. Dumble says he wants to build an amp for Vince Gill. Vince Gill asks how much it will cost. Dumble said 25K. Vince Gill said ok. This dealer asked Vince what type of amp it was going to be and he didn't know. Since Vince didn't know, I'm assuming that means that he didn't have to donate a vintage fender for this amp.
Anyway, not a lot of information but was still interesting to me so I thought I would share it.
