The 183 is an EL34 based amplifier? They used 6L6 in the VHT ? So they took out the nasal mid 34s and put the 6L6s in did they revoice tonestack anywhere compared to the original183?

I might pick up this one it's 600.00 it brand new a return and has static on drive channel . I will start with replacing the tubes and then output transformer also replace all the crappy coupling caps . Then will start revoicing tonestack . Any good mod suggestions? Thanks for your reply

All of the resistors are metal oxide... All of them. Plan accordingly.
