100w 2nd Gen. ODS build

...I'm gonna have to make my own board templates as the mounting centers are a little weird. (the preamp board mounting centers are 7 3/16" x 2 7/16"). My plan is just to size the boards based on the mounting holes and was wondering if anybody knew what the distance from eyelet to board edge was? Would 1/4" suffice?

Depends on the size of the board mounting hardware. I would not like to see the corners of a hex nut extend beyond the edge of the board, so I would say the edge-to-edge dimension should be at least the mounting bolt dimension (c-c) + 2 x (Hex nut size across flats / 1.7)

FYI, you can still use the PCB for the second generation. I've designed it to be compatible with 102, 124, 183 and 3rd gen models, and the 2nd gen is relatively similar to the 3rd.
Of course, you might need to additional chassis drilling but apart from that you should be good to go!

I decided to go with making the individual boards myself for the added challenge and for the sake of originality, but I was definitely impressed with the quality of your boards! Nice work! Plus it gives me a good excuse to use your board to build another amp down the road.

So I was wondering if anyone could recommend what value can cap to use here since this chassis is not set up to mount the 20uf filter that’s normally at the rear by V1?

Just put 4 x 20uf caps on the power board and you should be good to go.

Another little update. I went with Reggie at RawCabs for my head cab and had him do a straight front 1st/2nd Gen. style. He does really nice work!

He most certainly does and is! Extremely thorough, too. Takes a lot of pride in his work and really goes out of his way to make sure you get a perfect cab.

Great! Thanks for the input! I have a transformer I bought when I was planning on building #102. I actually bought a pcb from AA Electronics but I’m not sure it will work for a 2nd Gen. build. Did the circuit layout change much from 2nd generation to 3rd generation on the ODS or was it just the component values within the same format? Here’s a picture of the pcb. Would I just be better off going for the eyelet boards instead?
