I did as Martin suggested and simply bent the resistor away from the nut. Thanks for the suggestion of simplicity Martin!

After much debate with myself I removed the NTE resistors and replaced them with the NOS set I obtained from Jelle. Wasn't too difficult as I had not soldered that board yet. Still no response from NTE.

Received the cabinets for the amp and speaker from TRM. Both are 3/4" solid pine with blind dovetails.

Speaker is Thiele 806. A false wall is installed to keep the interior dimensions/volume correct while allowing the speaker width to match the head cabinet.

I have a brand new WGS12L for the speaker.

Progress over the holidays: powered it up!

Some of the things I did:
Relay controlled FET/Direct in with panel mounted FET level.
Isolated input and FX jacks all grounded with V1 & V2. PI also grounded here.
Edcor Iron.
Followed #183 layout closely for V1, V2 & V3 lead dress.
On-Off-On switches for Bright and Rock/Jazz.

Used light bulb limiter and variac for initial power up. Thankfully all went smoothly. No tubes voltages 492, 490, 476, 391 & 384.

Added tubes. Heaters 6.9vac. B+ at 478, 477, 448, 319 & 310 with bias set V4 to V7 27.1, 29.4, 26.5 & 28.5 mA respectively.

V1 to V3 184/190, 193/193 & 312/311 vdc respectively with current tubes. Changed out these tubes once and these voltages varied so will leave as is until I decide which ones I want to leave.

Had a brainfart and initially powered with tubes but no speaker or load connected. Saw at least one power tube arc when came off Standby. It's an Apex Burned in matched set so should be closer bias readings but I think I caused the mismatch so I'm going to live with it.

Plugged in speaker and when HV came up the screeching scared our cat  . Swapped wires that feed the control grids. Amp sounds pretty good. All controls work as they should with exception of FET level which is backwards. Due to extensive disassembly required to access the 24mm pot installed I decided to live with it and call it a "Special Feature".

Still need to finish the 3 button pedal.

Pics in no particular order. Please let me know if you spot any mistakes or see room for improvement.

Thank you Tim!

No on the suede although I did consider it. I'm going to use stain and wipe on poly, similar to what I did on my #124 cabinet but different color.
