Come on guys....
All these views and no comments, either they suck, or they look good, or I did them wrong. I know I have to clean the rosin off yet. This is why we post, to get feedback on what/how we're doing with our projects. We're all "newbees" at one point. We look up to you guys who've done it and beg for your help, ideas and expertise.
Boards are from Amplified Nation, Thank you Taylor.
Thank you for looking, Brian

Don't worry. You'll be fine continue building.
If you're in doubt of anything just ask or highlight something specific.
Looking forward to your next steps.

Likely because no one saw any accidents waiting to happen, and you did get several approving "likes." If you are new to this, or even if you're not, you might benefit from reading Raoul Duke's 102 build thread, and taking the test as you go approach.

Hello Brian,

Looks like you're off to a good start. Taylor does provide good boards, I just completed a #183 build with a set.

Looking at your main board, I find it easiest to entirely populate the board before making the first solder joint. Also the presence cap on 124 is tantalum-you have an electrolytic in that spot.

I wasn't sure if you wanted comments or were simply posting photos for all to look at because you did not specify. If you invite comments in your posts you're more likely to receive some.

Oh, I looked at it right after you posted, but indeed no accidents to happen and questions to be seen here, so...

But they look good Brian, neat work! One question: why pressed coupling caps? I suppose those aren't CDE 6PS caps?

That's what I'm talking about.....
I will change to a tantalum cap...
The 1uf cap off the purple wire, right.

"One question: why pressed coupling caps? I suppose those aren't CDE 6PS caps?"
I'll have to check it out.
yup, my mistake...I just assumed they were cde 6ps caps cause they were orange...

Thank you guys for the help.

Looking good.

When wiring up boards I prefer to add all the hookup wire before adding components. That way I can crimp the ends over the eyelet so they stay put later on once the amp is completed. Nothing worse than changing a component and losing a wire under the board. Once the wiring is in place I start populating the board in layers => resistors => small caps => large caps => trimmers. This allows better access to eyelets to ensure a better solder connection. Once everything is soldered I give all the joints a good scrub with isopropyl alcohol and then inspect each joint to make sure I have a good shiny joint.

Think it's a little bit late for that now Ian :D But no worries, I do it the other way around and that works too. Just make sure to pull a significant piece of stripped wire through the eyelet and wrap it over the top. 1/8" is plenty. Taylor does it that way too. Indeed the last thing you want is a wire falling out under the board.

Also, have a very close look at Dumble's boards and wiring scheme. There are some really nice examples to guide your lead dress. Bludotones are very nice in that respect too. As are many of the builds by members here. You learn how much patience you have once you try to neatly wire a Dumble.

Using Martin’s plans and Taylor’s boards are a solid and proven approach. Take your time and work systematically and you’ll be fine.
As a novice builder, I got a lot out of Martin’s “test as you go” approach and highly recommend it. Everything looks good so far.

That first time you fire it up and play it - unforgettable 👍

You’ll see…
