Reverb Transformer

Post by Lothy »

Hello,
I purchased the Vibro-King reverb transformer mentioned in Ryans non-mouser BOM.

https://www.tube-town.net/ttstore/en/ha ... 24038.html

Reverb Driver 024038 for Vibro-King
Pri: 5482 Ohm
Sec: 8 Ohm
Power: 10 Watt

It is slightly bigger and does not line up with the holes in Erwins chassis. How ever, I can mount it with one of the stand off screws of the reverb board. So that's good.
But in the Vibro-King the reverb driver is a 6V6. Will it work in in the SSS #002 configuration, or should I buy this one:

https://www.tube-town.net/ttstore/de/ha ... everb.html
Reverb Driver 125A20B / 022921 Single-Ended
Pri: 22800 Ohm
Sec: 8 Ohm
Power: 3,5 Watt

or this:

https://www.tube-town.net/ttstore/de/ha ... 47605.html
Reverb Driver 125A20B / 022921 Single-Ended
Pri: 7500 Ohm
Sec: 8 Ohm
Power: 3,5 Watt

Sorry, if it's a silly question, but I couldn't find answers with the search function on this topic.

Cheers
Gerhard

125A20B / 022921 equivalent is what you need. I usually see the Zpri listed as 22k5. The one with the 7k5 primary is for the 6G15 stand-alone reverb unit.
