Mid pot is 100KB on the Hybrid amp, 250KA on the S3988009 (HRM) amp.
OD drive is 100KA on the Hybrid amp, 250K on the HRM amp. OD Level is 100KA on the Hybrid amp, 1MA on the HRM amp.
What have you used? Which did you prefer?
Which size mid pot? OD Drive & Level?

Hi Mike,
The hybrid drive and ratio pots are linear taper. The schematic says audio but that is disinformation. The HRM drive is a 250ka.
I like the 250ka midpot. More range, same tone.
Feel free to email about this stuff.....

Ratio??? What's a ratio pot?dogears wrote:Hi Mike,

Really? I've never tried one this big. I usually up the Fender tone stack to 25k from the stock 10k and for the Dumble I've been using 100kA. I'll have to give that a try.I like the 250ka midpot. More range, same tone.
I can say from personal experience Scott's a great guy and a big help. I'd kinda like to keep information flowing here too. Thx.Feel free to email about this stuff.....
Re: Which size mid pot? OD Drive & Level?
I've used both the 100K-L and the 250K-A midpots with the Skyliner-ish stack, and both work nicely.
Every tone you can get with the 100K-L pot, you can get with the 250K-A pot. And with the log pot, you don't lose much of your ability to fine-tune the mids.

Re: Which size mid pot? OD Drive & Level?
250K-A midpot because has more range, it still works well on 6-10 settings and at 5 still equals 100K-L on 4 so nothing is missing.
OD ratio is 100K-L (with 150k resistor in front), audio taper here doesn't give enough signal to balance clean till 7-8, with 100K-L you usually stay at 4-6 which is good.
OD drive is 100K-L but I can give audio taper a try (a 30% taper would be ok but I can't find a good supply for those pots).
