how to change a bitmap image?????

Hi All,
I have a picture I would like to post,it's a bitmap image.......Keep's telling me that I can't upload.......tried to change what program opens it but no dice!!!!! any Ideas??????????

Hopefully it's as simple as:
1. Open in MS Paint
2. Save As jpeg
3. Upload

Assuming you have Windows OS

Open it with piant and "save as". Select jpg.
