ic-racer I must say I'm impressed, and you have me thinking of doing this. The sound tracks are really impressive as well.
Can I contact you about having this done? I'm located in Canada and most ebay seller's wont ship up to Canada. I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules contacting you this way.

Possible future client

Jason

I actually don't do mods for others, this was just a on-off project. However, I do think that hesthl (Red Plate Amps) could build one exactly like it for you. I know hesthl has seen this thread and I actually got inspiration for the project from looking at his amps. I got my plate and cathode values from an amp he posted. I'd be glad to supply him (or any of the other builders that contribute to this forum) with any info needed to duplicate it (though, it really is all posted here already ;) ).

There is a Super Twin (non-Reverb) on e-bay right now. Buy it now for $550 USD.

If the amp works then the trannies are probably OK.

Over a year in the making, I finally finished up all the tracks on my latest CD.

I feel the opening track has a real killer sound, and it was not until the mix was done and I was working on the liner notes that I realized this track was done with the amp from this thread. The guitar used was a 1976 LP Custom I restored from a basket case, including spraying a new translucent nitrocellulose finish myself.

I'm so pleased with the way this turned out I feel my life is complete now :)

Here is the first tune on the CD.

I make a YouTube video of the amp construction. Well, really just a tune playing with a lot of panning across the snake-pit of wires inside the amp.
