Well like what everyone here recommends is the Hybrid A circuit. Check it out in the files sections.

Welcome my new Italian friend.

Dumbling is a matter of starting with a known good ckt, then tweaking until you can't tweak anymore. After awhile you'll hear the changes in your head before you swap the component. I'd start with the Hybrid_A and Normster's layout. Once you get it working start asking questions about how to tweak the tone.
