Cool! 8) Only 125 views so far - this one is brand new.

Jury is out on the tremolo, but otherwise, pretty cool sounding!

Man, I'm lovin' the way the Trem handles the feedback. I don't normally like Trem, but this ain't surf fer sure. :D
Henry needs to build one in RED. Since he likes to work with slanted front chassis.

I bought a pair of shoes from a drug dealer the other day. I dunno what he laced them with but I’ve been tripping all day,

I really like that one...why did the ODS loose the reverb and the tremolo?

I have built a couple with tremolo - here's the circuit I used - Bias2 feeds the output tubes:

From the tone I would say that HAD built it.
But, you have to be wary these days since the D amps command such a high price, there will be people tempted to make forgeries.

I see Henry uses the bias approach to tremolo. I always liked that better than the shunt thing in most BF Fenders, not sure how you that would work in a D type circuit anyway. Does anybody know how the Overdrive Deluxe implemented tremolo?

I've had thoughts about trying a tremolo by using an LDR hooked in parallel with the mid pot on the tone stack, or a mid boost type circuit, but I've never done it. Has anybody tried anything like that?

Are there any gut shots of this amp anywhere? I'm really interested in the reverb and the tremolo that things got.

If you want a great sounding vibrato / tremolo. Take a look at the Fender 6G4 Super schematic. I have played several of these and they are in a different tonal league when you compare it to BF fender trem circuits. I took a quick glance at the circuit and it "appears" to use phase shift to induce the effect and not hard amplitude changes.

Implements right before the power amp, so it could be adapted with a little ingenuity. Could probably also be built as an external item and placed in the loop.

+1 on the G64 Super

The Super's Tremolo is a very different sound than the blackface variety. It also has a sweet spot at about 6 for speed with Intensity full up. The other levels are not nearly as interesting.

The tremelo and power section on my vibroverb is what made me choose it over the very similar K&M bandmaster prototype that I was also considering many years ago. Dimed with the tremelo on, I had to go with the brown fender circuit. To bad I didn't have the dough to bring them both home.
