There is a guy on youtube who had one built by two rock.
He claimed there was a 4500 dollar price tag for it.
Dont know if it was exact but it sounded nice.

The Two-Rock Custom Clean is an exact copy of a SSS, its $6,000 new. The guy on Youtube had a Custom Clean with NOS parts, a 100w, and voiced like John Mayers silver panel SSS (The amp lived in Japan before John Mayer bought it).

Too bad Two-Rock puts all the parts on the underside of the board.

So, somebody needs to debunk a two rock to get at it or a high plains drifter.. I don't see the issue sharing, its not like these guys designed the amp, 3/4 of them are reverese engineered, whats the harm in sharing something already pirated...

It's not a matter of harm, more so a matter of respect. For now the SSS remains a bit of a mystery. Eventually, that may change but seeing that there are only a dozen SSS or so of them and each one is different its more likely that what your are asking for dosen't exsist due to lack unformity in the design.

The Custom Clean and High Plains are specific clones of specific amps done my builders with enough skill to add their own embellishments In addition those builders don't own the amps and most likely were given access to them with conditions on sharing the information.

BTW, every now and then a newbie comes along to stir this issue up. It's happened so many times I doubt that the thread is going to get much attention.

Basically it is a loud, clean amp.
Not much call for it unless it makes a pedal platform.

Nowadays people are down sizing power requirements.

Todays club amp is rarely over 50 watts, more like 25-30w.

With the modern PA systems, any amp can be made loud and it is more preferable to have the sound come from the PA instead of amps on stage for most venues of size.

The young guitar slingers hitting my shop are looking for bass heavy grunge 100w amps.

They crank my amp's volume to 10 and bass full on and I say oh boy!

I plan to design a 100 to 150 watter for just such a purpose.

Me I could be happy with an 18 watter.

Ah I see.

I am so far out of the loop it isn't funny.

I guess I am an old man now, far removed from the current scene.

The thought the bass heavy scooped mid thing was over but apparently not.

Rock on!
