Looks great! How much did you spend on materials? I am considering building a cab for my just finished HRM head.
thanks,

Not much, although I haven't an exact sum..

About 15 dollars worth of wood. A little tolex, 8 amp corners...that's about it.

Tdale,

The amp looks great. I bet it sounds pretty nice too. Can't wait to hear clips of just how right I am.

Congratulations Tdale,

I wish you the amp will sound as fine as it looks like.
To read through the post let's it seem to me, that it should
be rather simple to build a clone. This might encourage me to
start my own clone project. Most problems that I see is geting
the right parts and the hardware.

Which parts did you choose and where did you get them?
Where did you get the chassis from?

Greetings,

Building an amp isn't all that difficult, if we're talking about the actual building and soldering. Getting rid of noise, and making it sound really good is the challenge.

I built my own chassis. Took a piece of aluminium to a workshop, and had them bend it, and weld the sides.

I went for Orange Drop caps, Xicon Carbon Film resistors, Alpha pots and transformers from Weber and New Sensor (got the transformers from a local builder).

If you look at pictures and layout diagrams, it's almost like laying a puzzle, with not so many pieces.

I buy most of my parts from www.hoffmanamps.com and www.tubesandmore.com
