Pictures of my finished amp
Finally it's finished.....except from the back panel that needs tolex... Other than that, it's finished, both on the inside and outside!
The grille cloth needs to be straightend... but I might get some black cloth, so I won't bother yet.

Looks Great - Is that a special 8 lug switch that lets you do ON-StanBy-OFF with Standby in the middle position? If not and it's the typical 6 lug how did you wire it?

Great looking build! Did you build the box? Either way it looks great!
Re: Pictures of my finished amp
It's actually a 4 lug switch that I got from www.westlabs.com In bottom position it's off. In the middle position lug 1 and 2 connect and in top position lug 1 and 2 are still connected, while lug 3 and 4 also connect. 1/2 are of course separated from 3/4.
I made the cabinett myself too.

Again great cab!
Did you solve the noise problem in your youtube clip?
Also what circuit did you use? Hybrid-A? HRM?
I ended up with #124 values (50watt version) and am very happy.

Re: Pictures of my finished amp
Yes, I solved the problem(s). Reversing the OT primaries. Grounding the relay power supply and moving the OT primaries away from the send/return wires and the speaker jack solved it.
It's not completely quiet, but I guess very few tube amps are.
It's a Hybrid-A without the deep switch. Everything else is like the schematic, except from the bright cap across the master and the optional 100K between master and PI tube.
I also made a few changes, after advice from dogears and others here on the web. I'm using a 250K mid pot, 0.01 uF mid cap etc.
I might get some clips this weekend, not sure yet. Hopefully I will, because the guy who is testing the amp is a top player, who has played on littereally hundreds of albums, both in Norway and abroad. I'll let you know.

Re: Pictures of my finished amp
I didn't really follow any specific layout. The main board is like all the boards are, there are several photos in this forum, showing how it's done. The power supply was taken from a layout posted in the files forum, and the bias/relay supllies, and the relay boards, I just made the way I did.
My best advice is to look at the pictures on this site, and make a drawing, either by pencil or on your computer, and check if you have room for all the parts etc.

Good, I think... I haven't much to compare with, and I don't have a cabinet with good speakers yet... but I'm happy with it..
